Privacy Policy

Decision IQ ("we," "our," or "the app") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the information needed for the app to function:

• Account information: your email address and password, used to create and secure your account.
• Profile information: an optional display name and an optional avatar photo you choose to upload.
• Decision entries: the title, category, predicted feeling, confidence level, and any optional notes you write when logging a decision.
• Self-reported state at logging time: the time of day you logged a decision (captured automatically) and an optional, self-reported rating of how tired or stressed you feel at that moment. This is used only to help you see personal patterns in your own decision-making — it is not a health, medical, or diagnostic measurement, and we do not interpret it as one.
• Check-in entries: your actual-feeling rating and any optional notes when you check in on a past decision.

We do not collect location data, contacts, browsing history, or any data from other apps on your device.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to:

• Operate the core features of the app (logging decisions, scheduling check-in reminders, and generating your personal accuracy insights).
• Maintain your account and let you sign in securely.
• Send you local notifications on your own device reminding you to check in on a decision.

We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored using Supabase, a third-party database and authentication provider. Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Access to your decisions and check-ins is restricted at the database level so that only you can read or modify your own data (enforced via Row Level Security).

Avatar photos, if uploaded, are stored in a cloud storage bucket. The bucket allows public read access to the image file itself (so it can be displayed in the app), but only you can upload or change your own avatar.

4. Notifications

Decision IQ uses local notifications scheduled on your own device to remind you when a decision's check-in date arrives. These notifications are generated and delivered entirely on your device and are not routed through an external push notification service or third-party server.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

Your data is retained for as long as your account exists. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data (profile, decisions, and check-ins) at any time from the app's Profile screen. This action is irreversible.

6. Children's Privacy

Decision IQ is not directed at children under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can access and correct most of your information directly within the app (Profile screen), and you can request full account deletion at any time, either in-app or by contacting us at the email below.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
